It's crazy how much she has changed in the past year. She was just becoming fun a year ago - we had survived a very difficult first 9-10 months trying to get a grasp on who she was and how she worked. She was/is so different from Macy - I naively thought having two girls as opposed to a boy and a girl would make them more alike - boy was I wrong! (I am prepared this time though - this new baby girl has been different from Day 1 so I am fully expecting a completely different kind of girl from the other two!)
The things that made her so difficult as an infant are making her such an endearing little girl! Her need to be constantly held as an infant has transitioned into a little girl who will crawl in your lap and cuddle - she loves to have her hair played with or to have you run your fingernails across her neck or back or arms or legs - pretty much anything to be touched. She gives the best hugs and kisses!
She also ate constantly - to the point where I weaned her much sooner than I had wanted to because I was losing my mind from lack of sleep and just being engaged in life in general. However, these days she will eat about anything you give her. Although she is working on a back molar right now that has put a small curb on her appetite.
She loves her babies and is quite the little mommy. I anticipate lots of "help" from both the girls when baby sister gets here. She is also starting to really enjoy dressing up. Several of these pictures were taken the other morning when she insisted on putting on both of the tutus. She looked so stinkin' cute - of course the pictures really don't do her justice, but you get the idea.
These are Macy's first day of preschool pics - we will have more of both of them on Thursday when they have their first day of First Friends (Mom's Day Out). It took a couple shots to convince Kate to let me take one of just Macy.
