well, just try to track with me, sorry they are in random order!
We celebrated Kate's 1st birthday on Friday. It was crazy crazy crazy, but really fun - I think if my count is right there were 14 kids under 3 and one little girl who is 5. At one point I came down to the basement and it was people and toys everywhere! So glad we have our basement!
My grandparents on the Fisher side came from Garden City so that was special.
These are actually a couple of pics from August that I keep forgetting to post. The gorillas are at the zoo when Stacy, Annabelle, Julie and Ethan came to visit us and the Thiessens
I also stuck one on from our time at the lake. I didn't do a very good job of taking pics, I was too busy relaxing! We did have a great weekend - thank you Harsha's and Fleske's!

Friday was a big day for us. The girls started Friday Friends! YEAH!!!! They both did great, although hopefully Macy will nap this week. I look forward to Fridays a lot and part of it is knowing that the girls do/will too (Kate doesn't know how much she will love it quite yet!)
Then we had Kate's party - she of course had her own little cake. It didn't take her very long to figure that out. She had it pretty well demolished by the time we were done. I made a great card out of the pic of her screaming. I don't want to reveal all the details so that people will get a kick out of it when I send them.

My parents got her this little chair. Macy got one for her 1st birthday and it is a very popular spot in the basement, so hopefully we will have a little more peace now that they each have their own. probably not! But Kate loved loved loved her chair when they gave it to her - she was just so cute sitting in it and rocking and then she would go get one of her new books and go back and pretend to read in her chair! doesn't she look like a big girl in this picture? sniffle sniffle....
If you made that little bear cake I'm going to be highly impressed. I almost bought my niece one of those giggling Elmo chairs for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhat's Friday Friends? Is that sort of like a preschool? I'm sure it would be nice to have a few hours of alone time.
happy birthday to sweet kate!
ReplyDeleteI love the 1st day of school pic. They look so old. Kate did some serious damage on that bearday cake.
