Macy's Imagination

Today I got the urge to clean the kitchen and take care of a few cabinets that were getting unruly. And since Kate is done with bottles (yeah!) I took all those out to free up some space. In the mean time Macy came in to check on me and discovered the two tomatoes that I brought in yesterday after they got knocked off the vine when I was weeding around the tomatoes and pumpkins.

So she decided that they were "babies" and she played with them for at least half an hour while I finished cleaning in the kitchen. I love her imagination! She is really into babies right now, but even though she has several dolls, she decided to play with tomatoes. She even gave them blankies (kleenex) for their bed (washcloth). And as you can see they even had their own baby "carrier" (bottle basket for the dishwasher) where they were carefully wrapped up - what a good Mommy! Her imagination is so fun to watch and challenging to me too - how often do I look at things and only see them for what they are instead of what they could be?

  2. Tara,
I love reading your blog. Macy is such a good care giver for those tomatoes. :) Has Kate chewed up any more of her crib.
