Today we got to watch our first Pool Games... It was really fun - I promise I am going to take some good pictures tomorrow of the camp - maybe the girls and I will do a walk around camp in the morning before it gets too hot - this afternoon it was sweltering! Okay maybe not as hot as it might be in Wichita (my only source of weather info in Wichita has been my very prego friend Cristy - no offense girl, but your thermometer may be a little jaded!) Either way it was toasty today! But it is a dry heat so even though you may sweat it's not like you are dripping!

I have been able to meet a few kids - my opportunities are limited - but a couple of girls in particular seem to be drawn to me and the girls - Tasia and Sheniqua from Oakland (urban) (which is funny if you have ever asked what our girls' names are - Matt always says "Sheniqua" and I always say "not really.") Anyhow these girls have tracked us down a few times and I am praying that I will be sensitive to know how I can show them Jesus' love. This week is a Wyldlife week which has been fun to see - it is interesting how many things about J high kids are like high school kids, but there also some obvious differences - one kid I saw didn't look all that much bigger than Macy! matt reminded me that they grow that fast! ugh - I do not want to think about Macy as a tween - especially as she flirts with some of the guys here - she seems to have picked a couple of favorites - Daddy may have his hands full in 10 years. In Kate news for the day - 3 people so far have taken pictures of her at meals - I must be de-sensitized.... she ends up completely covered at every meal - tonight we had dirt for dessert (you know where they crush up oreos and put in pudding and gummy worms) - kate of course had a ball with that. One of the summer staff guys even covered his own face to match and they took pictures - kate was pretty darn cute giggling at him with her little dirt covered face... okay time to turn in! Stay tuned for more tomorrow - oh and thanks to all those leaving comments - please do leave them, then I know my "audience"!
love all the updates! keep 'em coming!
