Sorry for all you fans who happen to already have your team out of the tournament :)
but I know Mom wouldn't mind me starting off this post with a little cheer for our Wildcats!!!
Today's Treatment:
Taking out the hydration/pain pump from yesterday's chemo after getting 3 more hours of hydration today.
Getting the first G-csf shot.
My understanding of G-csf: It is something your body makes anyway (like insulin) but they can give you shots of it to help stimulate your bone marrow to release stem cells from the bone marrow into the blood (again to prepare for the stem cell harvest).
Prayers:
* Continue to pray against the effects of the chemo from yesterday. That nausea and whatever else could happen would be held at bay.
* Now would be a good time to start praying continually for protection against infection or anything that could put her in the hospital.
* Please pray for all of us to be healthy so that we can continue to be around her as long as possible in the process.
Praises:
* She felt pretty good apparently after yesterday because at 9:30 last night she was wide awake and cheering for the Cats. We left at half-time but I'm sure she was probably up for the whole game!
* She has a great attitude and is such a trooper - yesterday took a little longer than she had thought it would but she stuck it out and her only complaint was that she wished she had a bigger salad for lunch :)
* Make sure you praise God for Jacob Pullen. (oh wait, that's probably for a different blog...)
Happy Friday!
