We just got home from a fun day at the zoo with Michele, Sophie, Cristy, Gracen, Molly & "boy" Grayson as Macy affectionately calls him! It was a lot of fun in spite of the hundreds of 5th graders that were taking over the zoo for some Fire Safety Day or something. Cristy took some pics of the girls so I will post one if I can steal one from her :) Then we went to McD's where some nice lady gave Cristy and me each a Halloween treat book "because our kids were so cute!" That's what she said. It was a treat in more ways than one - free treats for later visits is great - our children actually were being fairly well behaved and who doesn't like to be told they have cute kids?? And they were all asleep by the time we got home so they are napping now :)
I need a little help. But first a quick update for those who care: my show last weekend went good. I am pleased with how much I sold - could be better, but no complaints - especially b/c I did hear a lot of other people that weren't pleased with how their booths went. Taking my machine was great - a little overwhelming, but not too bad and I think it is a huge plus to send people away with a personalized gift. My blankets did pretty well which is good since they were the biggest "investment" I made for the show and I have several orders for other things which will keep me busy. I also got rid of a lot of business cards so hopefully people will call or place orders.
Another fun thing is that I was approached by two other people to be an exhibitor in their shows. They really liked my products and thought I had a great display - it is really cute if I do say so myself - and it is all using things that I (or my mom) had - i.e. a baker's rack, a port-a-crib, a bassinet.... So I am going to have a booth at one of those shows. The other one's date really doesn't work for me. So this is the part where I need help....
The show is this weekend - Saturday from 9-4 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. It's in between Maize Rd & 119th West on Hwy 42 (also Southwest Blvd.) It looks pretty easy to get to if you take the Edwards exit off of Kellogg - that's the next exit after Seneca coming from the east. Then Southwest Blvd goes southwest (imagine that!) from there - just follow it until you get to the church on your right!
Okay so here's where I need help: Last weekend my blessed mother came and helped me all day - I had no idea how much I was going to need her! We were slammed several times and there was even a point when Michele was there and my mom and me and we were all helping people with people waiting to be helped.... Okay so my mom can't help this weekend! Would anyone be willing to come by for a couple of hours? Michele and Cristy said they would - pending husband approval. Any other takers? I will get you an official name badge if you can help out - then you won't have to pay to get in! It seemed as though the morning was especially busy, but I would love help all day - and it's nice to not be alone - especially when I need to go potty :) Okay if you are up for it let me know asap!
oh yeah, in other craft show news, I am a doof and put the wrong dates for the Eastminster show - it is October 25th & 26th, Thurs. & Fri. Sorry!!
