Peek-A-Boo

This morning "Aunt Sharon" let us take a peek at Baby Edmund (as my brother voted for... there is no way we would ever name our child Edmund out of the womb. Sorry if that is your name. or your childs. Unless your British, then it is fine.)

We never had a sono at this stage with either of the girls so it was crazy to see this little thing kicking away and not really be able to even tell it's in there. It was very photogenic for us so we got a couple of fun pics.Although the one on this post is one I copied from a website because I don't have a quick way to get one of ours on here, but this is pretty much what ours looked like.... Edmund did a lovely job of letting check the umbilical cord - which was pulsating - it was cool. We also could clearly see the little alien face (this isn't dissing my child, but if you have ever seen a sono at this stage that really is the best way to describe the face). It was waving it's arms over it's head and even played a little game of peek-a-boo where it would cover it's face and then pull it's arms away. We looked underneath but there of course is nothing to see there yet. Hopefully if we go back in a month we will see a little pee-pee!

The girls were not too into the whole deal although Macy wanted to climb up on the table after me and have a look in her tummy. I told her there would be nothing to see but donuts, so she informed us she would have a baby in her tummy when she was a mommy. She also stuck the little baby Sharon gave her up her shirt. She will be a great Mommy - someday.

  1. Super cool Alien baby! ;-) I hope it has a little pee pee too. Matt loves his girls, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind a little football player.
