This could potentially be the world's longest post, so I am going to try and keep this as short as possible (feel free to read it in segments)
For starters, update on my mom:
The diagnosis is multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). She is in the really really early stages and it is very treatable. The challenge now is to gather information and make the best decison regarding treatment - everyone has their own story and opinion and it is hard to discern. Please pray that they (my mom & dad - Stan & Becky) would have discernment and wisdom for what they need to do.
What else have we been up to?
I have had a couple of shows for my sewing stuff... overall things are going great and i am excited about growing my little business! If you are interested we are having an open house this sunday here (at my house) from 2-5. Come on by and see my stuff and some things some of my crafty friends have made! (see above - i cannot figure out how to get pics to post in the post instead of just at the beginning - any help??)
The last post showed Macy's lastest big boo-boo.... she is almost completely recovered, just the faintest color left on her eyelid. But it did look lovely in all the wedding pictures!
Which leads me to the next highlight - we were able to be in Destin, Florida for a much needed vacation, but the real event was Matt's sister's wedding (his first to perform all on his own and he did an amazing job) -
okay, as a side post - I am always so amazed at my husband and his giftedness in things like this - he did the most amazing job of being real and genuine and hopefully making it exactly what Marci and Dirk wanted.
Anyhow it was an amazing time and if you want to see a ton of pics go to macynoelleshepherd.shutterfly.com and check them out. Back to my issues with the picture posting - i can't one o four trip to load, maybe some other time I will post a few of the favorites... anyway, there were so many great memories - one of my favorite things is that we went on a sunset dolphin cruise and macy finally figured out what everyone else had been looking at the whole time - literally 15 minutes before the end of a 2+ hour boat ride. So if you see her ask her what we saw on the boat (hint: "dolphy" = dolphins) and then ask what they did (she has hand motions and says "Up. Down. Up. Down.") It is about the cutest thing ever. Or maybe I'm biased!
Okay I'm off to bed!
Love to all my friends who have been so good at loving me lately in the midst of our craziness.
thanks for the update. I will give you a call soon. we are going to KC Wed evening.

ReplyDeleteHey Tara,
ReplyDeleteJeff told me about your mom a couple weeks ago and I've been praying for her as the Lord brings her to mind. I'm glad to know her cancer looks to be treatable now. I'll continue to pray for her and your dad. What kind of business do you have? I'd love to see some of your stuff. Thanks for your encouragement on our blog.
